Compare demolish joy

Every morning i start my day with reading news paper. Each day front page is covered by full page advertise. Most of them are from flipkart, snapdeal, paytm.. Etc. When i reach office, i see lots of people checking sites like carwale, flipkart. They do intense discussion about each newly launch car or mobile phones. Most sites i mentioned are aggregator sites. That means they provide platform between seller and buyer. These days almost every week new phone launch happens. The phone you purchased 3 months ago is considered outdated. As new mobile gives more feature in same price. I was lucky to use my last mobile for 5 years as Indians now changes their phone every 6 months.
Do we really gets benefits from aggregator sites? Is it worth to check all the offers daily? I would say it is not saving cost rather wasting precious time. It is too tempting to see 50% off and buy product. Actually we forget to check our needs or thinks this won't be this cheaper when we need it. It is very important to focus on needs. Best way of doing this is list down items you need e.g. food ingredients, books, etc. Then setup urgency , if you need medicine as you caught up with fever you have to buy that immediate without comparing. But you were checking medicine stock and found need to get more you can wait. Here you can actually compare prices and buy it.
How come comparison demolish joy here? Well, lets say you are all tuned up for performing exercise daily. You decided to buy new instruments for the same. Now your habit of comparing always thinks you would get cheaper than this. Well there is another reason too why you believe that you will find cheaper is economic changes , an year ago you had purchased same product in 40% less price than today's discounted price. So you keep your search on. Eventually you buy at almost same price but so late that you would have lost your enthusiasm of exercise.
Finally, Don't jump on offers, keep clean difference in your mind what you need vs what you desire. Don't waste money on desires, later on you may feel short of money for your needs.
